Frequently Asked Questions

What should I build?

Build an open source tool that solves a real problem for agentic coders. This could be an MCP server, CLI tool, VS Code extension, workflow automation, templates, or anything that makes vibe coding more powerful.

How are winners selected?

Projects are judged on usefulness (40%), impact (25%), execution (20%), and innovation (15%). We're looking for tools the community will actually use—practical beats flashy.

How many winners are there?

Three winners will share the $5,000 prize pool: 1st place wins $2,500, 2nd place wins $1,500, and 3rd place wins $1,000.

Do I need to start from scratch?

You can build on existing open source projects, but your contribution should be substantial and created during the competition. Pre-existing completed projects don't qualify.

Can I work on a team?

Yes! Teams are welcome. Just submit under one Discord username and credit your teammates in the demo video and repo README.

What makes a good demo video?

Show the problem, your solution, and how it works in 3-5 minutes. Screen recordings with voiceover work great. Focus on why your tool matters to other builders.

How does voting work?

Community voting opens soon. The BridgeMind community votes on submissions, and the winners are announced live on stream.

Does my project need to be finished?

It needs to work and demonstrate value, but it doesn't need to be production-ready. A functional MVP with clear documentation beats an overengineered incomplete project.

How is the prize paid out?

Prizes are paid in Bitcoin. Winners will be contacted via Discord to arrange transfer after the livestream announcement.
